TPi Arcade, LLC Profile

TPi Arcade, LLC is an Arcade, NY-based aluminum casting manufacturer specializing in V-Process vacuum sand casting and turnkey aluminum components.

TPi Arcade, LLC is an Arcade, NY-based aluminum casting manufacturer specializing in V-Process vacuum sand casting and turnkey aluminum components. With nearly 40 years of V-Process experience, TPi combines highly automated casting technology, engineering, heat treatment, testing, machining, finishing, and subassembly to provide customers with ready-to-assemble components.

TPi's 57,500-square-foot manufacturing facility utilizes computer-controlled molding equipment and robotic pouring technology to produce consistent, high-integrity aluminum castings. The company specializes in A356 aluminum and serves customers requiring precision, repeatability, cosmetic surface quality, complex geometries, and cost-effective production.

V-Process is a specialized form of sand casting that uses very fine, dry sand held in place by vacuum rather than traditional chemical binders. This process produces castings with smoother surface finishes, tighter and more consistent dimensional tolerances, thinner walls, and true 0° draft vertical walls compared with conventional sand casting.

V-Process tooling is manufactured from dimensionally stable RenShape polyurethane. Because the sand does not directly contact the tooling, patterns experience minimal wear and can provide extremely long service life. Tooling can also be modified relatively quickly, making V-Process particularly attractive for programs requiring engineering revisions, lower tooling investment, prototypes, bridge production, low-to-medium production volumes, or long-running programs with periodic blanket orders.

TPi provides engineering support throughout the development and production process. Capabilities include program management, project consultation, Design for Casting guidance, method conversion, CAD/CAM support, tooling coordination, and solidification simulation. Simulation software allows engineers to model how molten aluminum will flow, cool, and solidify before tooling and production are finalized, helping identify potential shrinkage or porosity issues earlier in the development process.

TPi also supports companies interested in converting existing fabricated, welded, billet-machined, permanent-mold, investment-cast, or traditionally sand-cast components into V-Process aluminum castings. These conversions can potentially reduce machining, eliminate fabrication steps, reduce component weight, consolidate multiple parts into a single casting, improve cosmetic appearance, and reduce overall manufacturing complexity.

Heat-treatment capabilities include T51, T6, T7 and T71 tempers. TPi also coordinates CNC machining, finishing, and subassembly to deliver completed or near-completed components rather than requiring customers to manage multiple suppliers.

Finishing and secondary operations include CNC machining, shot blasting, polishing, chemical conversion coatings, chromate, anodizing, wet/liquid painting, powder coating, silk-screen painting, impregnation, welding, pressure testing, and minor assembly.

Quality and inspection capabilities include real-time digital X-ray, coordinate measuring machine (CMM) dimensional inspection, spectrograph chemical analysis, tensile testing, yield and elongation testing, metallurgy, pressure testing, and dye penetrant inspection. These capabilities allow TPi to verify casting integrity, dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties, material chemistry, and other customer requirements.

TPi serves demanding markets including aerospace, defense, medical equipment, semiconductor equipment, robotics and automation, instrumentation, marine, transportation, heavy equipment, agriculture, and other industrial and OEM applications. Typical products include housings, enclosures, structural components, bases, brackets, equipment components, machine components, and other complex aluminum castings.

The V-Process is particularly well suited for manufacturers that need production-quality aluminum castings but want to avoid the tooling cost, lead time, or volume requirements associated with die casting. It can also provide an alternative to extensive billet machining or multi-piece welded fabrication.
