Founded in Buffalo in 1992, Upstate Steel combines a full-service steel warehouse with extensive in-house fabrication and processing capabilities.

Upstate Steel supplies a wide variety of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum products and specializes in locating unusual and hard-to-find metal products. Available products include carbon steel plate, hot rolled sheet, diamond plate, pickled and oiled plate, structural angles, standard and wide flange beams, channels, hot rolled and cold finished bars, steel pipe, square and rectangular tubing, expanded metal, bar grating, stair tread and catwalk grating, galvanized sheet, rail, rebar, threaded rod, and other structural and industrial steel products.

Custom fabrication and processing capabilities include plate burning, computer-aided design (CAD), miter and band saw cutting, forming, plate rolling, drilling, punching, welding, shearing, and custom steel fabrication. Upstate Steel operates some of the largest forming and rolling equipment in Western New York, including a 1,000-ton press brake and equipment capable of rolling 1-inch plate. Shearing capabilities accommodate material up to 1/4 inch x 10 feet.

Upstate Steel maintains a rigorous quality control program supported by in-house certified weld inspectors. The company also operates its own fleet of trucks, providing reliable delivery and allowing customers to source materials, processing, fabrication, and transportation through a single local supplier.
