Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Clarence, NY, Seal & Design supports automotive, aerospace and defense, medical, rail and mass transit, HVAC, power generation, electronics, hydraulics, and general industrial manufacturers with custom components engineered to meet demanding application requirements.

Seal & Design manufactures custom gaskets using die cutting, waterjet cutting, kiss cutting, PSA lamination, programmable nesting, and other precision converting processes. Gaskets can be produced from rubber, foam, sponge, metallic and non-metallic materials, with engineering support available to help customers select materials based on temperature, pressure, compression, chemical compatibility, and operating environment.

The company supplies a broad range of O-rings and sealing products in standard and specialty compounds, including nitrile, silicone, fluorosilicone, EPDM, and other elastomers. Additional sealing products include oil seals, rotary shaft seals, bonded seals, spring-loaded seals, PTFE sealing products, molded rubber components, extrusions, grommets, diaphragms, boots, bellows, and other custom geometries.

Engineering and technical support are available from initial concept through production. Seal & Design can assist with gasket and seal design, material selection, application engineering, 2D and 3D rapid prototyping, testing components, custom tooling, and design adjustments before full production. Rapid prototyping capabilities include pneumatic knife and waterjet equipment, allowing customers to evaluate parts before committing to production tooling or larger quantities.
