Power Drives, Inc. (PDI) was founded in 1946, as a regional distributor of hydraulic components and mechanical power transmission products. From those early roots, PDI steadily expanded its technical capabilities, moving into custom fabrication, engineering services, and eventually full-scale manufacturing. This evolution laid the groundwork for what the company is known for today: Innovation-engineered industrial fluid conveyance and treatment solutions built for the most demanding OEM and aftermarket applications. 

PDI’s product offerings include low-pressure fuel lines; EGR and emissions-related tubing; coolant, heater, hydraulic oil, and air lines; and filtration and fluid treatment assemblies. Every product is manufactured in our ISO 9001-certified facility, where engineering, prototyping, quality control, and validation testing are integrated into a tightly managed process. 

PDI’s solutions support a wide spectrum of industries—agriculture, construction, material handling, diesel engine production, locomotive, and other mobile industrial markets—where reliability, emissions performance, and long-term durability are critical. Our engineering teams collaborate closely with OEMs to tailor assemblies to each application’s unique thermal, vibration, and fluid-transfer demands. 

PDI’s manufacturing operations are located in a 77,000 square foot facility in Buffalo’s historic Larkin District, equipped with CNC tube bending, hose assembly, brazing, testing, and metal fabrication technologies.  

This site supports a network of five Express Hose Centers, which stock more than 3,500 hose-and-fitting combinations and provide rapid, “while-you-wait” hose assemblies for MRO users and service professionals. These centers extend PDI’s reach and reinforce our commitment to fast, customer-focused support. 

Approaching its 80th anniversary, PDI continues to grow by combining its legacy of hands-on technical expertise with modern engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Throughout this evolution, our mission has remained consistent: 
to develop, produce, distribute, and support products for industrial fluid transference and treatment.
