Manufacturing Capacity

PCB has substantial vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities. Its Depew operation includes a 52,000-square-foot machining center, added to increase production capacity, precision, and internal manufacturing control. The company also operates a separate 31,000-square-foot facility dedicated to piezoelectric crystal manufacturing, allowing a critical component of its sensor technology to be produced internally.

Globally, PCB reports 1,500+ employees, more than 28,000 product models, 21 domestic and international sales offices, and 105 distributors serving 130 countries.

For OEM and custom programs, PCB provides support from concept and engineering through design assurance testing and full-scale production. Its vertical integration gives the company control over engineering, manufacturing, testing, calibration, and product quality.

Certifications & Quality Systems

PCB maintains an extensive set of quality certifications particularly relevant to aerospace, defense, and precision manufacturing:

  • AS9100 – Aerospace Quality Management System
  • ISO 9001 – Quality Management System
  • ISO/IEC 17025 – Testing and Calibration Laboratory Accreditation
  • ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 – Calibration Laboratory Requirements
  • A2LA Accredited Calibration Services
  • ATEX certification at applicable U.S. facilities
  • 10 CFR 50 Appendix B compliance for nuclear power applications
  • Calibration traceability to NIST and PTB standards

PCB's New York and North Carolina facilities hold AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications, while its New York calibration operation maintains ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

Precision Manufacturing

PCB's certified manufacturing scope includes the design, manufacture, repair and recertification of sensors and signal-conditioning electronics, along with the manufacture of precision-machined parts. Its vertically integrated operations support tight control over critical sensor components and manufacturing processes.

Calibration & Testing

PCB provides A2LA-accredited calibration services for both its own products and qualifying instrumentation from other manufacturers. Capabilities include calibration and testing of:

Accelerometers | Dynamic pressure sensors | Force sensors | Impact hammers | Microphones | Sound level meters | Portable calibrators | Signal conditioners | Electronics

Testing can include sensitivity, frequency response, transverse response, time constant, output bias, and other performance characteristics.
